Key West

Key West was a complete surprise to me. Traveled there this past winter to escape the cold of NYC and visit a musician friend who spends his winters there. We stayed in a guest room of a house that is kept for artists (of any forms). This tradition came from the previous owner, Suzie Zuzek - an amazing print designer (you should check out her work). The home and the island was filled with creative energy of all the artists who had been drawn to it over the decades. I could see why they flocked there. From the live music morning to night to all the art galleries and the peace of the beach at Fort Zach. Life felt slower in the best way. I tried to capture the duality of this island and culture (the nature and art) with this collection. I hope it evokes the joy of the sunshine and the free spirit essence of being just on the edge of the US.
